Did you know it’s easier to do a home equity on an investment property than the home you live in?   We at Mylendingplace do both!  We are based in Austin, Texas and are licensed for the whole state of Texas.  

Most home equity loans are 80% of the home’s appraised value and there are two main options:   You can do a second lien (HELOC) or do the home equity as a first lien.  There isn’t really a hard-and-fast “best” route, since each borrower is unique with different goals and credit profiles.
